Primary Erythromelalgia



Abstract
Primary erythromelalgia is a rare disease characterized by paroxysmal burning pain associate with local redness and warmth in the feet or hands.
The distress is provoked by environmental heat, exercise, and dependency; it is relived by exposure to cold and elevation of the extremity.
No specific abnormalities were noticed in laboratory studies.
We described the favourable outcome of the primary erythromelagia patient after treatment with electroacupuncture.
One case of typical primary erythromelagia involving both lower extremity in 27 years old male was reported with review of literatures.
